Have the exams changed again? Why are they doing it to us?
To make sure the exams are in line with the latest research in language learning and teaching, Cambridge Assessment English update them regularly. A2 Key, A2 Key for Schools, B1 Preliminary and B1 Preliminary for Schools have undergone a thorough review to ensure that these exams continue to remain relevant to the needs of schools and learners of today.
In this session, we are going to have a look at the changes in the Reading and Writing papers of both A2 Key (for Schools) and B1 Preliminary (for Schools) and how we can prepare our learners for the new format of these exams. We will consider ways of helping students read and write well in English at A2 and B1 level, demonstrate practical ideas for developing students’ reading and writing skills and consider how to apply the exam writing assessment criteria in class.
