Our Staff

Our administrative staff is highly organized. The co-owner Antonella Ottonelli is in charge of the administrative and financial part of the company. The front office follows our client companies and private students and is run by Hianeya Lao.

Our Founder

The Founder Peter Frederick Anderson has been teaching English in Bergamo since 1978. He grew up in Britain speaking French and English and moved with his family to

Italy

as a teenager where he learnt Italian and finished his schooling. He obtained the TEFL Certificate (now CELTA) in 1988 at IH London. He taught freelance from 1978 to 1982. He then joined Bilingua – a private language school - till 1996. From 1991 to 1996 he was Director of Studies. In 1996 he started his own school. He is specialized in Business English and is now specializing in Management Training: International Profiling, Developing People Internationally, Intercultural Awareness, Legal English

Our Teachers

The secret of our success in corporate language training lies in the way we recruit our efl specialists. Not only do we choose mother-tongue teachers, but through a very careful screening we select only the best profiles: teachers with degrees, with a CELTA or TESOL - the certification to teach English as a foreign language -, with a minimum of two years experience in our sector. Moreover, we select teachers that are enthusiastic and dedicated professionals. Many of them have years experience and a background in business.

Our Director of Studies

Our Director of Studies, has a degree, a DELTA – a qualification to act as DoS in the circuit of private schools all over the world – and with years of experience in our sector, has an essential role in our school. Under the direct supervision of the owner Peter Anderson, he constantly monitors the teachers with observations of their classes. He has weekly training meetings – workshops and individual career development sessions – with all the tutors. He also establishes the programme of the courses with the tutors and gets continuous feedback from them on our clients. He liaises with the company’s HR Manager or the Training Manager. Furthermore he assesses the level of the students before the courses begin, prepares a needs analysis and chooses the texts and materials most suitable for the group or individual student.
